Woman uses flamethrower to destroy small spider

A woman from Brecon has used her late father’s WWII flamethrower to kill a spider that was walking across her living room.

Tina Belch is currently living at her mother’s house while her living room is being redecorated.

She told WalesOnCraic:

“I was watching Strictly on the weekend. It’s the only time of the week that I gets to sit down on my arse and I was thoroughly enjoying myself. Then. Out of the corner of my eye, I see this movement on the carpet in front of me.

“I said to myself, ‘That’d better not be a spider cos I hates spiders.’ But lo, and behold - it was a big bugger. Fortunately, I was servicing my late Dad’s flamethrower on the sofa at the time. He used to enjoy blowing up Nazis and sometimes, the queue jumpers down at the Post Office with it."

Tina let the flamethrower rip, causing extensive damage to her living room.

“It’s ok. I’ll get my husband to sort that out,” added Tina. “At least the spider’s gone now.”
