Woman uses gym membership card for first time this year

A woman from Cardiff has used her gym membership card for the first time this year.

Glenda Lardarse put her membership card to good use this morning.

She told WalesOnCraic:

“I had to get up early because my dopey daughter had to get an early train and instead of booking a taxi like most normal people, she decided to rely on me for a lift but didn’t actually tell me until she got up this morning. She was up at sparrow’s fart, waking me up, asking me to take her to the station.

“I got out of bed and we went to the car, only to find it covered in this cold kind of ice stuff. I couldn’t get it off so I had to use my gym membership card to scrape it all off. To be honest, I’d forgotten that I still had it in my purse so that was a nice surprise. It now means that if this happens again, it’ll be worth the £50 a month I pay.”

Glenda managed to get her daughter to the train station on time, but it wasn’t without stress.

“Some daft bugger had tried to drive without clearing their windscreen and nearly went into us. I’d have punched them in the face if they had. It’s been a long year already,”she added.
