Hairdressers to open at Brynglas Tunnels

Motorists can get a set and perm at the tunnels while they wait for the cars in front to shift their arses

Motorists at the Brynglas Tunnels will now be able to get their hair done while they wait for the traffic to clear.

A new hairdressing salon is set to open at the world-famous tunnels, allowing motorists to get their barnets done while they wait.

Brynglas Tunnels boss Wendy Chugger told WalesOnCraic:

“We believe in providing the best possible experience for our guests so we’re opening up a world-class hair salon at the tunnels. Guests will be able to book in for a full day’s hair and spa treatment, or if they’re in a rush, which they won’t be at the tunnels, they can stop by for a short back and sides.

“The success of our MOT centres has shown that people enjoy their stay at the tunnels. And it’s not all about getting your car fixed. Sometimes, we all need a little pampering in life. Our new salon will make you feel relaxed. You’ll come away feeling like a million dollars.”

The Brynglas Tunnels were first built by the Romans in 73AD. Lights were first installed in the tunnel in 1992 after people were complaining that it was too dark in there.
