Caerphilly woman refuses to turn her heating off

A woman from Caerphilly is refusing to turn her heating off, even though it’s early July.

Ethel TwoPorches has had her heating on since September last year and said she won’t be turning it off until it warms up.

She told WalesOnCraic:

“I’ve been freezing my tits off for ten months now. I can’t remember the last time I turned my heating off but I know my bill’s going to be a big one because when the postman comes around with my mail, he has to use a wheelbarrow to carry it all. I just can’t stand the cold. It makes me grumpy.”

Ethel’s husband Terry said:

“The cold makes her grumpy. She asked me to go to the shop to buy chocolate the other day and I only opened my mouth to ask her what type she wanted and she punched me in the face.

“I’ve let her keep the heating on, even though I sneak upstairs to the bedroom, where I open the window slightly. It’s like a frigging oven in our house.
