Long Distance Clara sets up haulage company in Bridgend

A former star of children’s TV show Pigeon Street has launched a new haulage business in Bridgend.

Long Distance Clara is always on time and never late and will be driving from east to west with her fledgling business.

She told WalesOnCraic:

“Nothing’s too far away, load after load. I shift the gears and safely steers and if necessary, I slams on the brakes. I chose Bridgend as the location for my new business because the place is a mecca for haulage firms. I think it’s because it’s got great access to the M4 and is far enough away from Swansea to keep my employees happy.

“I’ve hired a few of my mates to work at the business. Mr Jupiter will be doing the accounts while Mr Baskerville and his hound Watson will be investigating the break-ins we’re expecting over the next few months.”

Long Distance Clara is hoping to expand her business into England later in the year.

“If we can get a good wind behind us, who knows where we might end up. Could even be the Sahara this time next year!

“Nothing's too far away for Long-distance Clara,” added Clara.
