Pontarddulais to officially be renamed Pontardullarse
The name change will make it easier for the village's millions of English tourists to pronounce

The tropical village of Pontarddulais is to officially change its name to Pontardullarse next month.
The name change will make it easier for the village's millions of English tourists to pronounce.
Billy Twosheds, the village’s mayor, told WalesOnCraic:
“We get billions of visitors coming to our village every year and none of them can pronounce it properly so instead of Mo Salah coming to mountain, we thought we’d bring the mountain to Mo Salah. Or whatever the saying is.
“We’ve officially asked our local solicitors Greedy & Devious to change the village’s name so that when people turn up, at least they can say it properly. We’ve gone for the name Pontardullarse because that’s how most people are saying it these days anyway. We can then knock up some postcards and T-shirts that people can buy and we’ll make billions and I’ll be able to retire and join the local golf club where they serve Carling for £1.50. I cannot wait.”
Pontarddulais, situated near Swansea, is famed worldwide for its swaying palm trees and brown daffodils. It was recently featured in The Sunday Times ‘Best Places To Live If You’ve Got Nowhere Else To Live’ chart.
