English motorists confused by Welsh SatNav voice that tells them ‘to go over by yer, mun’

Motorists who chose ‘Dai’ to navigate them, have been told to ‘go over by yer, round by there and over by yer’.

English motorists have been left confused by the Welsh voice on a new SatNav device.

Motorists who chose ‘Dai’ to navigate them, have been told to ‘go over by yer, round by there and over by yer’.

English motorist Tarquin Smythe-Peacock told WalesOnCraic:

“This dastardly machine has told me all kinds of poppycock. I’ve got no idea what he’s talking about. Over by there and over by here. Even my ETA tells me that I’ll ‘be there now in a minute’. What the hell is going on?”

The device’s makers have apologised to motorists but Welsh motorists have hit back, saying that it’s up to the English to get to grip with the Welsh dialect.

Evan Evans said

“Obviously the lads came here today and obviously, all credit to the other side. I told the lads to go out there and enjoy themselves today and obviously, we’ll take all the positives from this game and obviously take them on to the next game. Obviously.”

Motorists in North Wales can also download a voice that speaks in English when no one is around but starts speaking Welsh when an English-speaking person gets into the car.
