New Tesla vehicles are to be fitted with blacked out windows as standard, following pressure from drivers who have been embarrassed to drive them.

Popularity of the electric cars have taken a nosedive following the political antics of its CEO and current President of the United States, Elmo Musk.

One Tesla driver told WalesOnCraic:

“I’m a little bit embarrassed to be out driving right now. I drove down to the bookies yesterday and kids started pelting my car with eggs, saying I was a fascist. The thing is, I’m not as fat as I used to be so I don’t know why they had to pelt me with eggs.

“I saw on the news that other Tesla drivers are having similar problems and apparently, it’s all down to President Elmo. I spoke to my mate down the club and he reckons that we should get blacked out windows. He got some for his Mini Metro because he goes dogging on Sunday afternoons but after spending £3bn on my new Tesla, I can’t really afford to have new windows put in. I’d like Tesla to foot the bill if possible.”

Tesla has announced that blacked-out windows will now come as standard. Sales of the cars have dropped since its controversial CEO was made the US president.

An employee said:
